It’s done. The first TeachMeet East Lothian has been and gone. On Thursday evening, the Sea Bird Centre filled with lots of expectant faces – many of whom seemed quite unsure what exactly they’d signed up for. I was really pleased with the way it went. We started quite late for a couple of unforeseen reasons, so the presentations had to be crammed into the remaining 1.5 hours. The presentations were all fab and extremely interesting – but there wasn’t much time for folk to talk and network which was a shame. We also had some twitcam problems, so I’m not sure how much people who weren’t there could see. Despite these issues, I was pleased to see that the evaluations were so positive.
I’ve embedded my own presentation from the evening below…you can also listen to it here.
Despite the rollercoaster ride of piecing this event together, I’m extremely pleased with the result. I’ve now completed my pledge from TeachMeet SLF09, and I really hope that someone will step forward to lead next year’s TeachMeet East Lothian
I really must extend a huge thank you to the sponsors, especially the Scottish Sea Bird Centre, my partners in crime, the presenters and of course everyone for coming!
